I am a filmmaker from Istanbul, Turkey. I lived and worked in many countries including England, Turkey, and now, my current stop is Toronto, Canada. I recently graduated from the Video Design and Production program at George Brown College. Back in 2017, after graduating from the University of Nottingham, I worked in film productions in London. In 2018, I started working in a production company in Turkey as a creative assistant. I have officially been in the industry for 3 years now and am currently working as a freelance videographer and editor, while working on my short films along the way.
"Two souls surviving in a jungle also known as the metropolis.
I lived as an immigrant more than half of my life in various countries. I know what it feels like to be an alien; I know the struggles and still face them today. This film shines a light on the struggles of living in a big city as an immigrant through contemporary dance because dance is a universal language communicated through movement. The film also reflects on a person’s own struggle with themselves and their journey of finding themselves. We are stronger together and stronger when united as one."
